New computer, thinking macbook pro or dell studio xps 13?

Hi all,

I think my old computer is broken (see other thread, stripes on the screen), so I am looking for something new to buy.

I'm having a really hard time looking for a new one, haven't searched the market for a long time. After some research, I found of course the new macbook pro, but I think it's maybe a bit too pricey.

For less money, it seemed like the dell studio xps 13 can give me more?

I really don't have a clue about what to buy, and I'm open to other suggestions. I have bad experience with HP though.

My budget really is a bit lower than the price of the macbook, but if it is a CLEAR winner, I just might put in that extra...

The computer is meant as something I can take with me everywhere, descent battery, and... I'd like something that I'll be able to play Starcraft 2 with. I know this sounds kind of stupid.
