New Dell Laptop Mouse not working

I have a new (just out of the box) Dell Inspiron 15 3567 laptop 8 GB RAM, Intel Core i3-7130U processor. I have done all shown updates for Win 10, firmware, etc. I cannot get a wireless mouse to work, have tried 3 different. I have put the dongle in the USB port and have the mouse right in front of it and it does not recognize/work. Checked Device Manage, shows a mouse and says driver is current, but it doesn't work.
Touchpad works fine.
Any suggestions?

If it is brand new and not work, take it back and have them exchange it for one that is working. No new device should cause such problems.
