[New iPhone User] What happens if cellular data is off and I'm outside?

Hi there.

I'm new to the iPhone and I'm quite concerned or paranoid about being charged for a cause I wasn't aware of.

I have turned off Cellular Data so that I don't use up my data allowance unknowingly from my subscription.

My question is that if I was to go outside while I had some sort of app requiring a valid internet connection such as skype would it give me an error saying that I need to get Wi-Fi or will I get charged?

BASICALLY:

If cellular data is turned off and I'm outside trying to use an app that needs an internet connection, will I get charged or get some sort of fee?

If you have cellular data turned off, you would need a WiFi connection in order to use any app requiring an internet connection.
