New laptop Broken by Stupid Mistake.

Hey Guys my name is David,

this is the most rookie mistake I have ever made.

Its a laptop that i was replacing the keyboard on and I managed to break the locking tabs connecting both the power button and keyboard(I know, i know). the whole laptop is brand new! like i broke it out of the box!

Is there anyway i can get my moneys worth? i know i cant sell it off as a working laptop but i need to get some money from it because im at a big loss at the moment.

What would you guys do to get the maximum amount of money back from this disaster?

Was replacing keyboard because my mate bent it((he was 1 week in the job) while getting the HDD out to image the machine.

Sounds like a mechanical part, you are not able to repair? Can't find part on eBay? Can't order part from vendor?
