New Laptop Fan Grinding/rattling

Any Suggestions? Opened it up checked everything found nothing no dust no contact with stickers or foreign objects

i would suggest you rma it but because you opened it you will have voided the warranty.
there aint many parts in a lappy that will rattle, the fans, the hdd and maybe even the dvd player.
if its not the fans then its most likely the hdd.

Its definitely the fan, What would you suggest, ive had it for about 6 months, Maybe i should put graphite oil

It makes literally motorbike noises sometimes, pretty annoying especially when being at an airport or library, Acer sucks

Do you think heatsink needs replacement to? i think its just the fan bearings are worn out, so time for new fan

normaly the heatsync ships with the fan if its the cpu cooler. but you will have to source it off ebay...

yeah but do you think i even need the heat sink? the one i have seems perfectly fine to me.. whats your suggestion

like i said the fan will normaly be attached to a heatsync already if its a new part. if however you can dismount the fan without removing the full heat sync assembly then theres a good chance you can just buy the fan and replace that part only.

Correct, I wont be needing another heat sink then.
