New Laptop VS Old Laptop for WoW

Every 2 years, my dads buisness gives him a new laptop and I get his old hand-me-downs. He'll be getting his new one this week and i'm wondering if ill see any improvements while playing WoW, etc.

My current specs:

Dell Latitude D610
Pentium M 2.13GHz
1.5GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X300 64mb

New laptop specs:

Lenovo thinkpad T60
Core 2 Duo 2.00GHz
1GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X1300

You will for sure see a improvement ...
But if you add 1 GB RAM, it is going to get really better!

Okay, thanks. Do you know how close i'll be able to get to max settings while maintaining good fps? My current lappy isnt a big fan of high settings 🙁

You'll definitely see some improvement, especially if you can upgrade to 2GB of RAM. Moving up to the Core 2 Duo is a big deal compared to the Pentium chip you had before. Not to mention you're seeing a graphics upgrade too.

Personally, since I've never played WoW on a laptop, I'm not sure about whether you'll do High Settings or not. Higher than before though I'd imagine. 😉
