Here are a few options in your price range. They all have 1080p resolution screens and a DVD drive.

Acer Aspire E 15 for $600. Quad core i5-8250u CPU, 1080p screen, 256GB SSD and nVidia mx150 graphics card which provides decent performance for playing games on lower setting if that is one of the purpose for the laptop. Much more powerful than integrated graphics, but the mx150 is not considered to be a gaming graphics chip. The i5-8250u is an 8th generation Intel CPU and represents the 1st time a "u" model CPU (ultra low voltage) has 4 cores instead of two cores. According to comments, this has a backlit keyboard...

Dell Inspiron 15 5000 for $560. Quad core i5-8250u CPU and 1TB hard drive. It also had a backlit keyboard. Acer laptops are more value oriented than Dell which is why there is only a $40 difference for the mx150 graphics chip.

Acer Aspire E 15 for $379. A lower end model of the above Acer laptop with a dual core i3-8130u which is fine for most people. Good bang for the buck because it is nearly equal a 7th generation dual core i5-7200u released back in 2016 in laptops selling for $500+. It has a 1TB hard drive instead of a SSD, and there is no dedicated graphics. The keyboard is not backlit.
