So i bought a new lcd screen for my dell inspiron 15 7559 (my older one had dead pixleeel in one corner) and plugged it in first when i started the pc the screen worked fine but then i had to unplug it again to get the top cover from the laptop and when i tested it again it had no backlight. I tried the oldee one and at first the older one worked fine but when i tried to fix the new one the older one had no backlight too. So i dont think that the cable is brokem because the older one workes fine in the beginning. So i dont know if the backlight ia turned off from Windows because i c n plug in an external screen and this one works.

Thank you for helping.

Solution
Even though the laptop was off, the battery gave the voltage needed to power the motherboard. So, I think you blew a fuse on the motherboard when you connected the cable to the screen.

Solution
If the problem is a fuse, it will not be expensive to replace it, but the cost of replacing the component varies from where you go to get it fixed. Get a cost estimate before getting it fixed.
