RIAA is shitting bricks...

record labels shitting bricks too... artists will no longer be their slaves.
this is good

This is great for both fans and artists. Especially artists since there'd be more money coming in from this, no record label and RIAA taking 95% of an artist's earning

I don't see this lasting very long.

I want it to, but the powers that be will more than likely see otherwise.

good for him, but...in before FBI raid/RIAA stops this

This is good for the artists and fans, but the ones who have control now are totally going to do everything they can to stop this.

I am confused, if this is for artists to post their music... couldnt they just use youtube or a number of other solutions?

you get next to nothing on youtube, to the point that there is a nda on the contract you sign, probably so you cant get a second opinion.
there are other solutions, but lets be honest, they are so far out of the publics eye that you are almost better off touring bars than using them as a means of getting music out.
