New windows 7 lag

So I've installed windows 7 on my pc. I am noticing lag around a lot of places.
I definetly know this is happening because when I launch papers please on steam, It s super laggy! Is there any way to fix this lag?

When you re-installed 7, was it from the laptops restore partition or a backup?
or did you do it from a usb stick or disk?

either way it could be loading updates but if done from usb/disk then did you install all the drivers for your laptop?

I installed it through a usb. I'm still working on the drivers tho. Its my first time with a freshly installed windows so Im finding it difficult to get drivers :/
