Hi Guys

I have a Nikon D5100 and a 18-55mm Kit lens with 52mm filter thread and a 70-300mm Di LD Macro 1:2 with 62mm filter thread.
If I buy a few lens filters with 52mm thread size like a CPL UV Macro +1,+2,+4,+10 filters and get a step down ring on my Tamron to reduce its filter thread from 62mm to 52mm will I see a black circular vignetting or will I have unblocked field of view?

I could be wrong but I think it would be better to purchase filters with 62mm threads and use step-up ring to use on the 52mm threaded lens.
More on the subject from a thread (no pun intended) on DPREVIEW

That's what everyone suggests but the price of macro filters or close up filters for my 52mm thread is only ₹300 but for the 62mm it's above ₹3500 so that's why I thought of using the step down right which costs around ₹250 and save cash but I couldn't find any videos or anyone else who had experience with similar stuff writing about it

That is a big difference in price. I will look to see what I have and see if I have anything to test it with and let you know one way or the other.
