Nikon P600 Battery Info Needed.

With the Nikon P600 can you use any En-El23 battery or does it have to be the official En-El23 Nikon battery?

Another thing is can I get lens for it? This page is selling them but I don't know if works? The page is confusing me about lens!

With the battery you are taking a chance; it may work or may not. Similar to a laptop battery from eBay or Craig's List.

Regarding the lens stay clear away from it because it needs an adapter tube (as shown in the website) in order to use it. Why buy top of the line stuff like a Nikon and then put a cheap non-standard adapter tube? If you need a lens get it from Nikon.

Apparently Nikon released a firmware to stop unofficial battery being used, but it never said which models.

For all models! Batteries have specific charge/discharge curves and it is important that they fit within these curves. Products are designed with these curves in mind. That's why it is safer to use batteries from the manufacturer.
