I'm trying to get a sound bar to work with an LG TV that doesn't have any audio outs. We bought a HDMI switcher with an audio out thinking I could get that to work but no luck. According to a thread on here it should but I don't know if I'm missing something?? I ran an HDMI out of the switcher into the tv and then an optical cable from switcher to the soundbar per the instructions in manual but I'm not getting anything.

does your tv support hdmi(arc)? if it does not, then its pretty much impossible to get audio out. if it does, then you could use one of those hdmi audio extractors with hdmi(arc) support to do it or have it connected up to a home theater with hdmi(arc) support.
