No Audio with cable, but audio with youtube/hulu

My TV has no sound coming out of it when I am watching the cable channels, but when I turn on netflix or youtube through the TV, the sound is fine. I have tried reconnecting all cords and restarting the cable box. help!

Do you have the tv channel sound muted or on SAP?

If the cable box is connecting via HDMI try a different cable and different HDMI input on the TV. Try changing the audio setting in the cable box. Call your cable provider to check and if needed replace the box.
