There could be something wrong with your HDD. Is it recognized by BIOS?
If the laptop is under warranty, I believe you can contact the place you got it from, or the manufacturer's Support.
Another thing you can do is to take the drive out of the laptop, make sure that this would not void the warranty, and connect it as a secondary one to a working computer. That way, you can see if the drive would be accessible. In case it is, you can back up the data stored on it and test it with a brand specific, testing tool.
