No external display recognition

I have an hp 2000 laptop with a damaged screen that lets me see a tiny bit. Windows 8.1 I had no problem using an external LCD but after updating to win 10 last night in my display settings I only had the option for the messed up screen. Any help at all is appreciated

You may want to try getting the driver that your computer had before for the display. Sometimes when the computer is updated to 10 the drivers it installs don't work for a computer.
