No FM audio on Digital Output on JVC NX-F4

Does anybody have any idea why it is not possible to get audio from FM/AM on the Digital OUT port of the JVC NX-F4, while e.g. CD/DVD and USB sources work fine with Digital output? Is the reason that FM/AM radio is an analogue source and is not digitalized by the system and therefore not possible to send on the digital OUT port?

Your explanation is right on the money. They saved some money on analog to digital converters.
