No Fox on HD Receiver, less than a mile away

I live just around the corner from a TV station that broadcasts Fox, NBC and some other obscure stations... I cannot get Fox to come in. I am only getting about 10 stations most are useless. The antennae is indoor about 8 feet up high against an outer wall with a glass door 4 feet away. This was suppose to be one of the best brands but can't get channels that I obviously should be. Even check Tv fool dot com. Whats the deal?

If you are really close to the transmitter you may be getting too much signal rather than too little. Try aiming it away from the transmitter to reduce the signal. You will need to rescan the channels when you move the antenna.
You could also be in a shadow that is blocking the signal. That can happen when the transmitter is high up and close to your antenna.
You could try knocking on the stations door and see if they can make a suggestion. They want as many people watching their broadcast as possible since that means more money.
