As the tittle suggests, what can be done? Do i need digital to analog (dac) audio converter or analog to digital (adc) audio converter? My tv has 3.5mm and the speakers have rca but the quality isn’t satisfactory.
The sound won't be improved by using converters.
Connecting an analog to digital converter to the TV audio out, connecting it via optical cable to the speakers where the built in digital to analog converter will change it back to analog just adds more processing which can only make things worse.
I used analog to digital converter (rca to converter’s input and optical output to the receiver) but now, I am facing intermittent sound cuts when playing ps4 slim (i.e without optical output).
Ima try watching a movie via usb today. Lets see if that has intermittent sound cuts as well. Any idea why sound cuts? I was on dolby setting on ps but then changed to linear pcm which reduced the frequency of the sound cuts but still there.
