No power up or signs of life.

I have an hp2000 that refuses to power up. When I hit the power button, the led comes on but you don't hear the hard drive and the fan doesn't start up either. There is also nothing displayed on the screen. A couple days before I had gotten an error message at startup about the CPU fan and the possibility of random shutdown. I am not sure where to start here on what might be wrong and if anything needs to be replaced. I checked the hard drive, ram and power supply; and all of them are seated and working the charger and battery tested good on the meter. I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

just used my multimeter to test its output.
