Hi my issue seems to be rather complicated but here it is.
I have a laptop, Packard bell easynote tm 86, and the screen shows white. I connected it through vga to an external screen and it works just fine, so I bought a new lcd cable and the screen is still white. So I figured it's the screen that's broken.
I have 2 different laptops at home, both hp pavilion g6 1000 series, and their screens seem to be compatible (broken working screens) BUT when I trying connecting them to packard bell they both showed WHITE...! Also the broken one when connected to one HP, it showed white, to the other it actually showed me the desktop but the colors are all screwed up. So what is the problem? Does the broken screen actually work? Are they not compatible so I can't really test them or is it somehow a double problem, where both the screen and the GPU broke down?
