NO SERVICE iphone 3g.

bought a cheap iphone 3g that needed a repairing.

It needed new screen, power button, and had terrible wifi and network signal. upon getting it back the screen and lock button work.

But I cant get a signal on o2 for shi* HOWEVER, the wifi signal is incredibly strong, works at very long ranges. Im not sending him the phone back because he's bodged it. the screen is hanging out about 2mm, and the volume button doesn't work now.

so I'm gonna fix it my self. Can someone please tell me how?

UPDATE** if anyone has this issue I found a guide on the internet on how to fix this. it requires bridging a gap with solder that wasn't an original design on the phone.

but it works better than ever

I think you need to change some of its parts. Repairing is not the solution. Instead, you need to make replacement of some parts.
