no sound from sub-woofer of htsj-4500

Solution
Check that the speaker wire from the main unit to the sub is connected correctly.
If you can connect a different speaker to the sub wires (at low volume) you will be able to tell if the subwoofer is blown or if the the amp in the main unit that drives it is bad.
The speaker inside the cabinet could be replaced cheaply enough. It would not need to be identical. Just the same impedance and at least the same power handling as the original. The power spec of HTSs are usually exaggerated so you would want to determine the power handling required from the rating of the speaker itself not the HTS.
Repairing the bass amp would probably be too costly.
