No sound just a weird constant hissing noise. (Realtek on-board)

Hi everyone, as the title says I have a weird problem with my audio. I get a constant hissing noise and it gets worse if I turn up the volume. Last night it was working fine with no problem, wake up today turn on my computer and guess what it's broken. I think windows update may have caused this but I'm not entirely sure. I looked on my motherboard and checked if the hd audio connector was in properly and it was so I really have no clue what's going on. I have also tried reinstalling drivers, I'm still trying to install new ones just in case that it might actually magically start to work again.

My motherboard is the Asus M5A78l/USB3. Using Realtek drivers as usual.

did you find out what caused this and a solution? I have the same problem, no audio out of speakers and hissing on headphones with Asus P9X79 with Realtek onboard audio
