I'm having trouble with the sound on my laptop. I have an Asus S500CA with VIA HD audio that's up to date and I will say while my speakers run perfectly fine, it's that when I try and plug in my headphones. No sound plays through them at all. It says where to connect and I choose headphones, but doesn't play at all. Now before anyone asks, here are some of the things I tried but didn't work.
■ Checked disabled playback devices, doesn't show headphones at all
■ Uninstalled and reinstalled Via, problem still retained
■ Uninstalled RealTek HD audio which was leftover, problem is still there.
■ Headphones work perfectly fine. Tried through other devices, works good there.
I've looked everywhere for a solution through google, but most are for Realtek and the ones about VIA don't have a solution at all. I've even asked at another tech support forum and it proved no help. If all else fails, I'll probably send it in to geek squad and have it checked on there. I really need help on this, and thank you in advance.
