No sound with sound card.

Hey I just installed my sound card, before my headset would play sound but now the speaker in bottom right hand corner of screen has a red circle with white x inside. It says troubleshoot didn't find anything and nothing else I can do.

I have no sound whatsoever.

Any ideas why and how to fix?

OMG kill me now xD ... looked at the disc put it in a box...

Ok now the disc is confusing me gonna watch some tutorials as its got a bunch of files and is coming up with an error.
