No touchpad and no pointer on my HP Pavilion 15 with Windows 10

Recently my mouse pointer just stopped and I went to device manager and touchpad wasn't there. I have tried everything but nothing works. What should I do.

Some HP laptops have a spot on the touchpad that if you double tap quickly will cause the touchpad to shut off, usually in a corner. If you see a light on your touchpad, just tap it twice and it the touchpad should come back on. Note that when the light is on, the touchpad is off.

My touchpad doesn't have a light, but I have tried a number of times to turn it on and off. No results. Thanks.

Try typing into google your laptop model followed by drivers. It should bring you to HP's site where you can download the touchpad driver for your laptop. I would try installing the latest touchpad driver and see if that will turn your touchpad back on.

Thanks. I have downloaded all new drivers and still no satisfactory results. The touchpad doesn't show up in my device manager either.
