lists the DMSI ASC321 lnbf with a noise figure of .5 dB

lists the DMSI ASC321 lnbf with a noise figure of .7 dB

I don't understand why the same product can be advertised
with different noise figures. If I understand it correctly,
the noise figure is a significant criteria for a lnbf; what
am I missing here?

Whose advertisement should I believe?

The ASC321 product labeling for noise is .5 dB typical and our tests confirm
this to be accurate. The ASC321 is an off the shelf LNBF and each unit is
not individually tested for absolute conformity prior to sale. We have found
units that test far better and worse than the typical specifications listed.
Be careful when comparing LNBs to also see if an increased gain figures
result in higher noise.

An ASC321 is marketed for basic installs. If a customer is concerned with
the critical performance factors of gain, noise, phase, etc. ...... then one
should consider purchasing a unit that is tested to precise specifications
(an example of this would be our Invacom lnbfs).
