If this post is in the wrong place please let me know where it should go as I am uncertain of it's proper location.

Hello, let me start off by listing some specs as best I can to avoid confusion
Computer
Mobo: Asus M4a88
CPU: AMD 955 BE
PSU: 600W corsair
Graphics: Nvidia 460
Memory: 12G's of assorted g.skill
Case: Coller Master 922 half
Audio
DacMagic
Cambridge audio azur 640A
S/PDIF from mobo to DAC

Now with that out of the way the problem is that randomly I hear a noise (this noise sounds electronic in nature like dubstep almost) coming from my speakers. I can't say for certain but the problem could be when I attempt to do too many applications, however I open a web browser at times and it happens with no other programs (besides my audio). When I am not using my computer other then listening to music the problem rarely occurs. I doubt the temps are a problem with the CPU as I haven't over clocked at all. Any suggestion as to where the problem is coming from would be great.

You don't say what program you are playing your music files with so look for some adjustment you can make there. You can try using ASIO drivers or use USB instead of spdif. You can post your question on www.computeraudiophile.com.

Turn off windows themes.

I am currently using FooBar2000 but I have tried many different programs to no avail. I have used both S/PDIF and usb nothing works there.

I have changed my theme to windows basic, I don't see the correlation between the two though. I'll let you know if this works.
