Non-HD TV

Solution
I think you're confusing high definition (television resolution) with digital (broadcast signal). Of course, that's pretty understandable as most non-HDTVs do not have digital tuners to plug the antennae into.

In answer to your question, no. Antennae do not only work with HDTVs. They only work with TVs that have a digital TV tuner (ATSC) or with a digital to analog converter box to a TV without a digital TV tuner.

Thanks Wolf!
This is all new to me. My husband use to do all this for me.
So, I just need to make sure the tv I want to add the antenna to receives a digital signal? And if it does not then I need a digital converter correct?
Thanks so much for your assistance.

That is absolutely correct! Look for the acronym "ATSC". That means it has a digital tuner. "NTSC" was for the old analog TV tuners.
