Not RCA out from my Yamaha amp

Yamaha Rx 440 avr doesn't output any sound through RCA out when I connect my Yamaha AVR through digital input.

Check the selected sound output on the TV. Make sure it is set to digital optical.

If you connect to the optical audio input of the receiver it may not be designed to output through the analog RCA record output. That would require an additional DAC inside the receiver. You could attach an optical to analog converter to the optical audio output of the receiver.

Quite right, I miss read the original question. The RCA output is analogue and the input is digital. Normally, you will not get an analogue feed from a digital source. Unless you use what Americanaudiophile suggested and use a digital to analogue converter.
