Not sure where this cable is from!

I have a customer who has brought his laptop over which had a broken hinge which I have fixed, but there is a cable which I'm not sure where or what part of the laptop it's from.

When I looked in the hinge there was the cable with a small 3 pin white connection on one end and the same type of connection but looks to be a 4 pin ( slightly wider) and part of a PCB which has snapped off.

on the cable there is a small white label which says cable switch on.

Your description isn't really enough, considering that many different manufacturers have different cables that look similar.

Looks like it could be a speaker or fan cable, that's all I can guess. Laptop stuff are not exactly like desktops. Could be power cable too but am guessing if it's a power cable you would know it by now.

It could be the inverter cable for the screen... It could also be sound or webcam.

That picture is not as helpful as I had hoped it would be... It's a very generic connector.
