Notebook Cooler Suggestion

Hi i currently own a MSI GE62 6QF Apache Pro running a Nvidia Gtx970m GPU. Was thinking of getting a cooling pad for the comp but i heard that there are 2 types of coolers, one that blows cool air into the laptop and the other that sucks away the hot air. Heard using the wrong one is actually harmful for the laptop. Does anyone have any suggestions for suitable cooling pads ?
