Notebook won't come on

My hp envy notebook laptop just switched off and won't come on, the battery is non removable

based on the little information you provide I will have to ask possibly obvious questions but please fill in the answers and we shall try to figure out you issue.

1. the ac adaptor is plugged into the wall, and if there is an led on the block it is lit green
2. have you tried plugging in the ac adaptor into another wall plug
3. is the ac adaptor connector (plugs into the pc) loose?
4. do you have an multimeter you could do a quick test to make sure the adaptor is outputting the right amount of power ?
