"Now Playing" entry won't delete

I've been a leach on the NG for some time now, and I really enjoy the
banter and help everyone provides. Keep it up!

My problem: I have a show that I was watching live, pressed record to
save the remainder, and then I left the room. Came back later to watch
it, and the "Now Playing" list shows it still with the recording
button, even though other programs are shown with the recording button
as they record. I cannot watch, alter, or delete the unwanted entry.
It could be a long time before it rolls off because I rarely let "Now
Playing" get that full before I watch and delete. Any suggestions?

FWIW - I got TTG about two weeks ago. With the help of this group, I
have successfully used GraphEdit to save .tivo to .mpg and then burn
to DVD with Nero. I, too, am suffering with slow channel changes and
pixelation ever since TTG. My wireless setup appears to work
flawlessly.

And Sean is an idiot.

Coolness

The Linux people are going to cry about this, but the advice works for ANY
computer, regardless of OS. First step is reboot. In the case of the
TiVo, you can do this through the menu, or (less preferred but not quite as
harmful as you might think) simply unplug it and then plug it back in.
Remember to redo select-play-select-3-0-select afterwards.

Sometimes people press the record button after a program has ended,
but the program is still in the live buffer. This causes the following
program to be recorded. If the following program has ended and you
still see a red icon in the To Do List for a program that is no longer running,
try restarting the recorder. Restart from the menu can fix abnormal conditions.
