Well basically, my problem is the exact opposite of any thread i have Googled, and trust me... i have searched for SO LONG.

Anyways, i'm 100% sure that the games i try to play use the Nvidia card, not the Intel one, which actually results in worse FPS than with the HD 4000. For example, in Skyrim, i get a steady 60FPS on Ultra settings, then in like 15 seconds, it drops to 5-10, then back to 60, and so on...

I have updated the drivers, so you don't need to remind me of that...

I'm really pissed off because it's so teasing... i can see the high FPS, i can enjoy it for a tiny bit, but i can't actually play like that.

Specs:

CPU: Intel (R) Core i3 3110M
RAM: 8GB
GPU(s): Nvidia GT650M,
Intel HD 4000

It is most likely that the laptop's cooling is not very good. Also skyrim is a cpu intense game and not gpu. What is the temps while gaming?
