NVMe SSD compatibility

Does HP Probook 440G3 with dax61cmb6c0 board support NVMe SSD? Please guide.

According to this service manual:

M.2 2280 SSD (NGFF), SATA-3
Supports the following drives:
● 256 GB TLC
● 128 GB TLC
Set as primary storage if selected.

You can drop in an M.2 NVMe drive but it'll perform at SATA 3 speeds thus it's best you just drop in an M.2 SATA 3 based SSD in there.

You can't drop NVME SSD into M.2 port, that supports only SATA mode. It will not work.

No.
That will only take a SATA based m.2 drive.
NVMe will not work.
