Old Camcorder for Webcam

Hello. This isn't really a question about pc parts or games or all that, so if you can't answer this question, that's ok. So I have a Samsung SCL906 and I want to use it as a webcam for my pc for my YouTube channel but I don't really know how to set it up. I have a EasyCap to use the camera with but the camera keeps turning off if I don't record with it. I don't want to record with the camera because that is what im going to use the EasyCap for. Is there any way I can stop the camera from turning off? Also, I don't want to use tapes because they are all full.

The camcorder goes into Standby mode to save the battery after 5 minutes of not recording. I looked in the manual but didn't see a way to change that to something else. Does it happen if you have the charger connected to the camcorder?

Thank you for replying. Yes it still turns off even if it is plugged in.

Have you had a chance to look through the manual and see if there is a menu option that would allow you disable the auto-turnoff function?

Sadly, no because I lost the manual.

Ok so someone told me that if I remove the tape and just plug it in to the wall to keep it alive it will record without turning it off so I tried it and it worked. So what I did was remove the tape and battery and just keep it plugged into the wall.
