Hi,

I have an old pair of JBL TLX18 which have been boxed up for many year. Yesterday I found out that the base elements on both speakers are broken. I asked JBL for support but they are slow and not so helpful.

I found this info browsing the internet. http://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/jbl/tlx18.shtml

Appreciate if anyone know where to go. I live in east Vancouver BC. Any good on-line stores for these kind of things...Amazon ?

Thanks!
Bjorn

Solution
It is possible for the woofers and midrange speakers to be repaired. If the problem is the foam surround that attaches the cone to the frame you can get repair kits online but they often make it look easier than it is to repair correctly, The cone has to be centered exactly.

There are services that will do it for you. In the states I suggest Millersound.
In Canada maybe these guys

Whether it will be worth the money to you is a different issue.

Hi.

I know what you mean...sad!.
It should say woofer element. I had another look on the speakers and the middle element is also broken on one of the speakers..sh*.
