Solved! Old tv old dvd movie

I'm so old I still call em all vcr
I have channel 2-69 I hooked up yellow red white wires to front of tv n same on DVD went to channel 3 n all I have is squiggly lines

rather than channel 3, try changing the "input" on the tv to "front" or "aux"
