On max volume, my headphones are very quiet (Windows 7)

I recently moved from my laptop to my old PC and the headphones that I use are having issues. On the laptop, the headphones are able to output deafeningly high sound. However, on the PC, the max volume under the same conditions on the laptop is not loud at all. In a game such as CSGO, I set volume to max and it's still not loud, and the audio is very low quality. I have tried updating drivers, messing with slider bars, switching jacks, etc. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Another note: my headphones only work when plugged into my front ports, not the back ports directly into the motherboard. Thank you

I would make sure the audio driver is from the Mobo's vendor, NOT Microsoft.

I checked and that's all fine, I used to use a different headset with no problems, but that one was wireless with a USB dongle as a connection. Do you think my problem will be solved if I get audio jack to USB connector?
