Have you tried a different charger? If not, that is where I would start. Now if that doesn't work, then you may well need a new battery.

If this is a new device, then I would contact the manufacturer about the issue. If it is an older device, then you may want to try a local tech.

i tried a new charger i installed a new battery
now i can't even get it to light up
it's 3 years old

The charger and new battery are they OEM or aftermarket? If aftermarket then they may well not resolve the problem as they can come with their own problems.
