My college recently switched to gmail and it sucks. For one, I feel like my privacy is more likely to be violated now. Secondly, I lost all my old addresses and stuff, they didn't offer to help save them or anything. They did it over summer vacation, so I wasn't checking my mail and didn't even know. How stupid is that?

So your telling me that they spent $33 Million for the Outlook deal, only use it for two years, and they are now going to spend $9.5 Million more for the Gmail deal. How is this cost effective? I wonder where the money is coming from.

Why did it cost anything?

Why didn't the school just set out a memo to everyone saying that they can go to Google, Yahoo, Hotmail etc... and set up a free e-mail account. If you want to receive e-mails from the school register that address with us.
