This might work for active people who don't want to drop their phones and use a Bluetooth to talk or voice to text. Going for a jog or working outside in the rain etc. this could be great if its waterproof. Tablets and the ipad was supposed to fail but its a success so we have to wait and see on this.

First-gen units are full of gimmicks and unnecessary features. granted, Dick Tracy talking into his radio watch was an awesome visual for 1920s-style comics, but doing it for real with a Galaxy Gear is pretty retarded. Cameras? Apps? Messaging? Facebook notifications? They're just not worthwhile on your wrist.Personally, I'm looking for a control method for my phone - Caller ID, accept/deny/control calls, music controls, that's probably about it. Add in specific-use apps such as pedometer/fitness/cycling tracking stuff with sync to your phone/tablet/computer and you're well away. At a push GPS/SatNav directions for walking and cycling. But it needs to be a slimline and stylish device, and if Apple do produce the curved glass iWatch then that'll be the killer device for everybody to copy. Again -_-
