only 2 speakers plays

i want to know how to get the pc playing through all speakers. i have connected a sony 6.2 sound system to the pc but only 2 speakers gives sound but if i put the sony system on tuner than all the speakers are playing. can anyone please help me????

Check the audi setting in your PC to make sure that you can output multichannel audio (probably will see a 5.1 setting).
Check the audio output mode on your playback software.
Make sure that you are playing a surround sound source not 2 channel stereo.
Try a different surround sound mode on the Sony system.
