Question Only subwoofer is working on my pioneer vsx-50

I turned on my TV today to watch some youtube and I am not getting any sound from my surround speakers. I am getting sound only out of my subwoofer. I am using an optical cable to send the audio to my receiver, but when testing with hdmi cables I got the same result. When I open the speaker manual setup in the receiver menu I can hear the test sounds for all of my speakers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which TV model is it?

Is the receiver transforming non 5.1 sound into 5.1 sound, to hear virtual surround on all speakers?
Or did you try a 5.1 youtube video?
Is the TV recognizing 5.1 sound?

I have tried everything. PS4 Games, Youtube, netflix. Tried switching the sound output between stereo and 5.1. No difference.

Try connecting the PS4 directly to the receiver with HDMI.
That will tell you if the problem is the TV or the receiver. Make sure to set up the input you use and adjust the surround mode for that input as well.

Did you switch the sound in the TV menu as well?
