Only the number keys work on the Asus f554L

Letter keyboard is not working but number keys do?!

Try this and see if it fixes it.

1. Delete the keyboards drivers.
2. Reboot the laptop. Yes I do mean without installing new drivers.
3. When the device restarts, it should automatically install new drivers.

Yep.
Device Manager > Human Interface Devices > Keyboard > Uninstall drivers.
Restart computer.
