how do i open the cd drawer

You could right click it in Windows Explorer (My Computer) then select Eject and if that doesn't work, see if it has a tiny hole in the front. If it has, find a needle and gently poke the button inside that hole. The drawer should ping open.

Or push the Open/Close button on it.
