Hi
I have a Panasonic TV model TC-P46U1 and I want to connect a Headphones (Sennheiser RS 175) using the Optical out of the TV. Right now the TV optical out is connected to my soundbar and it work fine. When I try to connect the TV optical out to the headphone base (having selected the right mode on the base as well) I don't get any sound from the headphone,

I have tested the optical cable and it works fine (from TV to soundbar).
I have tested the headphone using the optical output of another device (Bell terminal) and the headphone did not work either.
I have tested the headphone using the audio output of another device (Bell terminal) and the headphone works fine in analog mode.
This TV model does not have a output jack for headphone neither an audio out (Left and Right), only has an Optical output.

Any ideas what could be the problem ?

thanks

If Sennheiser support can't tell you how to get the optical connection working with the TV, you would need an optical to 3.5mm converter and plug in the headphones to that.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer. I finally found the problem / solution. I switch the audio mode on the Bell terminal to Stereo (instead of multicanal) and it works fine now.
