OS on a laptop

This might sound crazy, but can a new laptop be changed to run DOS 3.30 ? I have a program that runs a machine and it has to be DOS 3.30. Can this be done ???

A better idea might be to run the DOS in a virtual machine, instead of directly on the laptop.

I've not tried it, but looking through VirtualBox settings, it appears to support a DOS OS.

That is of course if you can get whatever old hardware is involved to talk to a new laptop. Serial port or whatever.

Does the software check for that exact DOS version? If it doesn't, dosbox will run about any DOS software pretty well.
